Cresol-formaldehyde resin is a thermosetting phenolic resin widely used as a binder and modifier in friction materials, brake pads, grinding wheels, abrasive products, refractory materials, laminates, electronic encapsulation compounds, rubber compounding, coatings, adhesives, and high-temperature molding compounds. It is also employed as an intermediate resin for specialty composites requiring excellent heat resistance, mechanical strength, and chemical resistance.
