Comment: Yellowstone is the most overdeveloped of the dozens of US national parks I have visited so far, bar none. Perhaps this is because Yellowstone is the first national park in the United States, and in the world, to be fenced off and "protected." But later I discovered that as long as you avoid or quickly skip those popular check-in spots, there won't be much congestion even in the summer. In fact, Yellowstone has countless wildernesses and trails, but almost all tourists gather at the popular check-in spots. You only need to hike out from the car for about two or three miles and you will find that everyone has disappeared. Usually, you can enjoy the beautiful terrain, mountains, rivers and lakes of Yellowstone all to yourself. Of course, if you are heavily equipped to hike into Yellowstone or Grand Teton (a permit is required), it will be like entering a no-man's land.

Comment: I've been to Yellowstone twice, once in a tent camping (in May) and once in an RV campground (in October). AT&T had a signal at the RV campground.
