Glycidylazide Polymer (GAP) is an energetic azide-containing polymer mainly used as a high-energy binder and polymeric component in solid rocket propellants, explosives, and advanced energetic materials. The polymer contains pendant azide groups that provide high energy density and can react with curing agents such as isocyanates to form cross-linked energetic polyurethane networks. It is also used in research and development of propellant formulations, combustion materials, and energetic polymer systems.
